ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Alan Cheung, who in his high school days gave himself the name "Alan King" to stand out from all the other Alans in his classroom. Alan grew up in a one-bedroom apartment in NYC with 2 siblings and quickly got tired of wearing hand-me-downs that did not fit him properly. Growing up to make money, he saw the hype behind Supreme, Bape, Jordan's and Yeezy sneakers and started reselling with money saved from Lunar New Years and part-time jobs. He quickly believed that fashion was not just clothes on your back but an identity that also held value. He believed if these brands could build something so huge, why couldn't he? Then he set out to build AKINGS.
